Description

The West Bengal Land & Land Reforms Manual, 1991 is the key for implementation of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955. In this work the procedure for determination of surplus land, recording the name of the bargadars, name of the riyats, distribution ofpatta etc. have been described throughly. The procedure of conversion of land, land transformed by Schedule Tribes, long term and short term lease etc. have also been discussed. Rules related to dispute between bargadar and land owner, collection of land revenue, description regarding different Registers of Land Reforms Department, have also been highlighted.
